Happy 9th Birthday

It is that time of the year, again. I can not believe it - you have turned 9. So this year, you did not want a party, you chose to go to Universal Studios in Orlando - so, of course, off we went.

The hotel we stayed at, Parc Soleil, was wonderful. The pool deck had all day games and interestingly enough - there was a family of ducks that hung out near the food tables.

Three Amigos - ready for the parks; Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

HELP! the T-rex has gotten out of his cage

Waiting, waiting, waiting... in line

YUMMY! You got your first Butter Beer. This is Mommy's favorite drink

This chocolate wand did not last very long - seconds in fact.

This is so fitting.

Lauren's New Pets - Patch and Bella

I might have instigated this one - we have two new babies in the house; Patch and Bella. They are baby Guinea Pigs. You and I prepared her room and built them a new cage to play in - kinda turned out to be a 'Piggy Ritz'.

If there was any doubt in us getting new pets to care for, this smile won me over and makes everything worth it.
We spent all day Sunday finding the right things to build the cage with. It had to be large enough for 2 piggies. So we came up with a plan and used some wire shelving that we had in the garage. It turned out to be 2' x 4' and the girls love it.

We first got Patch

But then on Tuesday, we found a long haired female ... and we named her Bella. Guinea Pigs are social animals, so having two was always going to happen :)
Of course Socks doesn't know what to think about these little fury things running around. He sits at the cage and stares - weird dog, sometimes they are not even in the cage - LOL.

We are so enjoying these little mess makers - I now have someone to sew for again :)

Thanksgiving

TIME TO EAT... ALL DAY LONG

I love Thanksgiving Day, even though it can be a little chaotic. We are lucky to live close to both of our families and get to spend the day with all of them. The eating all day can become a little much, but hey - it's all for the day. :)

We started at Aunt Sue and Uncle Willie's house. The weather was perfect, we got to eat outside again this year.

Lauren has one more year and she will outgrow Aunt Sue.

We have some of the most beautiful women in our family :)

I love the memories we create when we can all get together year after year.

Chad and Candice are expecting a little addition in May - Chance

And then there is Goofy!

And now we are off to Dalton for another Thanksgiving Day meal - but mostly to spend time with our family.
