Chattanooga Lookouts game

We took Lauren to the Chattanooga Lookouts ball game. She was excited to get to go see Looie.

Lauren got her glasses, so she is now ready for the game.

What a perfect evening for a game, the weather was perfect.

From the time we walked in the park, Lauren was looking for Looie. We finally tracked him down.
Lauren got a little upset when Looie went inside.

Of course we had to eat everything in the park. Even though Lauren said she wasn't hungry, she ate a hot dog, peanuts, a cherry slushy and a pretzel.

A blast from the past, Denny and Allen.

"It's dark outside Mom, time to go home."

Lauren's 3rd Birthday Party

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY PRINCESS LAUREN

I can not believe our precious angel is 3 years old.

So for her birthday, we had a Princess Party. Lauren was so excited and helped us get ready for the party. She invited her friends and they all dressed up as Princesses - they were so cute!

In addition to her birthday cake, we created a sweets table - the kids loved it - I think we all loved it!

Every Princess needs a castle! It's even better when you can eat it.

The girls were so excited about getting dressed up for the party.
Aubrey, Gabi, Tori and Lauren were ready for a big day.
Now, getting them all to look at a camera and smile at the same time was another story.

Aubrey and Lauren act like sisters - they are loving here and the next minute - you never know!

My precious angel!

We wish he could really mow the lawn but Chase, Lauren's cousin, loves to push his lawn mower around. Until Lauren made him pause for a picture.

Smile Chasey!

Lauren's Aunt Stacey brought a sure party pleaser - Silly String!
Lauren loved it, the kids were all lining up for there turn. The best part, after both cans were empty, they picked it all up to press it together to make a ball.

All of the Princesses looked so cute! They played the part and enjoyed themselves.

If I had know that a couple of bags of ice would entertain the Princesses, I would just have bought a bunch of ice. Kids do not need tons of stuff to find the true joys in life.

Princess Lauren

Lauren is getting ready for her birthday party this weekend.

She will be three on May 7th - where did all that time go. Allen and I have enjoyed every minute of it! Mom did say, when Lauren was born, that we would laugh harder than we ever have - and she was right.

Lauren is going to have a Princess party and she wore her crown to Walmart and played the part perfectly - she is such a ham!

First Gymnastics Class

Lauren started gymnastics and absolutely loves it. She can't wait for her next class.

During her first class, she partially listened to the teacher and would move ahead instead of waiting on the little girls.

She may be ready for the Olympics before to long.

She was walking across the balance beam trying to get her teacher's attention to 'LOOK'!

Easter

FOUR DAYS OF FUN!

Thursday:
Mamaw has had Easter tea parties with her grandkids for about 14 years. This year it was Lauren's turn. Mamaw set the table and we all had to wear bunny ears and glasses.

The things we do for our kids.

Lauren loves chocolate chip cookies. I have no idea what that is on her shirt though!

Life with Mamaw is always a surprise!

Friday:

Lauren didn't have school on Good Friday, so we went to Mamaw's house to dye Easter Eggs for the weekend. Uncle Buck was there and he helped Lauren dye 5 dozen eggs. It's a good thing Mom and Dad changed their floors to hard wood - look at all that colored water in the cups.

Saturday:

Another great day. Lauren and I cleaned house (well I actually cleaned up the house and after her, but she was helping) and got ready to go to Nana and Papa's house to play with Tate, Cullen and Cade. Lauren loves playing with her cousins.

Will load the pictures soon.

Spending the Night at Uncle Bucks

Lauren has been wanted to spend the night at Uncle Buck and Aunt Satcey's house so she can play with all the animals. We drove up to Dayton on Saturday and Lauren got to play with all the animals and have a bonfire - she loves smores! She also had to track down each animal and hold it as long as it would sit there.
This chicken is like a dog, it stays near us and doesn't care how long Lauren wants to hold it.
This is Boots, she is the cutest little pygmie goat.

Lauren and Allen were digging for worms to feed the chicken. This chicken was driving Joker, the dog, crazy. Joker wanted the chicken to be with all the other chickens. He stalked that poor chicken.

Sunday:

We got up on Sunday to a huge breakfast, Newton and Stacey made eggs (of course), biscuits, gravy and pork loin. YUMMY!
Poor Lauren was not feeling good and just layed around. We sat outside in the warm sun and just watched the funny little animals.
Gizmo and Cry Baby taking a nap!

Joker - doing his job!

Cute little Boots!

Now this is cool, these chickens are supposed to lay pastel eggs! Can't wait to see that.

Camping at Fall Creek Falls

Thursday:
What a great weekend, Lauren and I went camping with Papaw and Mamaw. We left on Thursday and took the campers up to Fall Creek Falls for four days of playing, fishing and eating. I think we wore more dirt than was on the ground - Lauren seemed to blend in with ground.
Lauren helped Papaw work to get the camp ground ready, and of course that means, playing in the old fire ashes.

Friday:

Lauren loves her Mamaw and you can see why, they both love to act goofy! The guys played golf on Firday so the ladies got to view the sites at the park. Fall Creek Falls is such a beautiful place. We have camping there for the past 15 years and there is always something new to see or even going to see the same sites is always a treat.

Saturday:

Lauren was so excited, in the mornings she would wake up at 6:30 (yeah for me) and want to make sure everyone else was awake too. She would put her boots on, walk over to Mamaw and Papaws camper and growl like a bear - thinking she would scare them. Of course, she gets that from her Papaw who scraches on our camper and growls like a bear. Monkey see, Monkey do!

After breakfast and a quick play on the playground, Papaw took us fishing. Lauren was more interested in digging for worms that waiting on a fishing line to sink, but she loved it when she got to real a fish in. I don't know where whe gets it, but loves to play with bugs and fish - YUK!
